During the meeting, implementation plan was discussed, including the expected outcome and challenges faced. The meeting was attended by all the Regional Offices, chaired by Thrompon.
The ICT Management Division in collaboration with the working group 1 of ICT heads has conducted the 22nd ICT Heads meeting today - 31st August 2018 in Thimphu. The ICT heads meeting is an important forum for communication and coordination, and plays a vital role in ensuring that work carried out by various agencies are better coordinated and aligned. Challenges faced by the Dzongkhag ICT and IT Activities for 12 FYP, are some of the important agenda items of the meeting.
The Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT), Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) would like to share that BHUTAN-1 along with MAYA-1 and UiTMSAT-1 have been successfully deployed in orbit on 10th August, 2018 at 3:45 PM BST after its launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on 29th June, 2018. The Department organized deployment viewing event and launched BHUTAN-1 stamps to commemorate its deployment from ISS.
