The Department of Information Technology & Telecom, MoIC would like to invite licensed Bhutanese firms for the Development of Government Website Standards and gov.bt portal. The bid document is available for download till April 20, 2017.

In terms of Section 1.6.13 of the Finance and Accounting Manual promulgated by the Ministry of Finance , the Royal Audit Authority (RAA) operates a current account styled “Audit Recoveries Accounts” outside the Government Consolidated Fund for the deposit and management of audit recoveries remitted to it on its instance.

The Department of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information and Communications launched the Government Data Center, located at Thimphu Tech Park Ltd(TTPL) today. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, and Ms.Esha Shrivastava, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India. Currently, 22 critical government systems are hosted in the GDC simultaneously offering more than 40 services including various G2C, G2G and G2B services.The project was funded by the Government of India under Project Tied Assistance(PTA) program.

The Government Enterprise Architecture, e-GIF (eGovernment Interoperability Framework) of Royal Government of Bhutan, lead by Department of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information and Communications was awarded the Open Group 2017 Awards for Innovation and excellence in Enterprise Architecture.

Hon’ble MoIC Minister and Ambassador of India to Bhutan inaugurated today, the Bhutan Immediate Payment Service (BIPS). With this electronic fund transfer service citizens can now instantly transfer through multiple channels such as Internet, Mobile and ATMs. This is service made available by the RMA and DITT, MoIC in collaboration with the banks and G2C Office. This project was funded by the Government of India.
A class of 24 ICT officials from 7 Dzongkhags and various ministries/agencies in Thimphu has embarked on “Android Mobile Application Development” training TTPL, IT Park, Babesa from 9th January 2017. This will be three weeks course focusing on building the basics and ensuring the best practices on developing an application on Android. With this training the department expects the trained ICT officials to come up with creative mobile applications that renders public service delivery.
