BIRDS-3 project team from Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) has initiated a Short Messaging Service through their CubeSats to thank the COVID-19 Frontline Workers by broadcasting their names through satellite beacon. To know more details of this initiative click here.

The Department of IT & Telecom (DITT) requested to broadcast tributes for His Majesty the King (HMJKNW) and Ministry of Health (MOHBHU) to express our gratitude for being on the frontline to ensure that the country and the lives of the citizens are safe. The beacon from the BIRDS-3 satellites were successfully received and decoded at the DITT Ground Station (GS) in Thimphu.
