Cybersecurity for Leaders
Submitted by content-adm on སྤེན།, 01/28/2022 - 14:53The Department of IT and Telecom, Ministry of Information and Communications, in collaboration with the Temasek Foundation and the Nanyang Polytechnic International completed an online program on "Cybersecurity for Leaders" which started from the 11th of January via the zoom application. The objective of the programme was to bring leaders up to date on Singapore Digital Journey as well as their cybersecurity strategy and the role leaders play in developing a vibrant cyber security ecosystem.

Submitted by content-adm on སྤེན།, 11/05/2021 - 12:28Hon'ble Dasho Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications attended the 2021 Global ICT Leadership Forum organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the National Information Society Agency (NIA) South Korea. The theme of the forum is "Global Driving Strategies for Digital Transformation in the POST-COVID Era." The 2021 Global ICT Leadership Forum aims to provide a timely meeting for the High-Level Policy-Decision Makers(Ministers) to share and review the strategies for invigorating digital transformation against the backdrop of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
e-ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) programs

Launch of Nation wide Biometric data collection for National Digital Identity

One of the key requirements for delivering services is the need to verify the identity of applicants. Since we are unable to do this securely, some vital services like opening bank accounts, selling land, and similar important services, still require face to face interactions.
29th Virtual ICT Head Meeting
Submitted by content-adm on ཕུར།, 09/29/2021 - 16:18The 29th Virtual ICT Head Meeting was conducted today where 56 ICT heads and officials from the Dzongkhags, Thromdes, Agencies, Ministries and DITT attended. Yearly 4 ICT Heads meetings are conducted to ensure that the ICT activities carried out across the whole of Government are coordinated and aligned with the common goals.
During the meeting, members presented on the eGov activity endorsement via eGIF portal, G2C services status and civil service reforms. Additionally, challenges faced by the Dzongkhags and Thromdes were discussed thoroughly.
Signing of the Implementing Arrangement (IA) between DITT & ISRO Concerning Cooperation on the Development of a Joint Small Satellite
Submitted by content-adm on སྤེན།, 09/24/2021 - 17:57A virtual signing ceremony was held today at the conference hall of the Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) to sign the Implementing Arrangement (IA) to jointly develop a small satellite for Bhutan. The IA was signed by Mr. Jigme Tenzing, Director, Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT), Royal Government of Bhutan and Shri R. Umamaheshwaran, Scientific Secretary, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2021

On 17th May every year, the WTISD is celebrated with a purpose to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.
