BHUTAN-1 Ground Station Receives Award in BIRDS-3 UPLINK COMPETITION

The BHUTAN-1 Ground Station, located at the Ministry of Information and Communications in Thimphu has stood 3rd in a competition to send uplink command signals to BIRDS-3 satellites.



Award for standing 3rd position in BIRDS-3 Uplink Competition

BIRDS-3 is a joint multi-nations satellite development project (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan) hosted at Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan. Previously, Bhutan’s first satellite BHUTAN-1 was also developed in the 2nd BIRDS Project (BIRDS-2).
