GovTech conducted a promotion ceremony to formally recognize the appointment and promotion of four officials, effective from 1st July 2025. This included two Chiefs selected through an open competitive process and two officials promoted within broadbanded positions.
Chief Appointments (Open Competition):
- Mr. Jampel Ngedup, who has been on secondment to the Gyalsung Project, has been appointed as the Chief ICT Officer of Digital Service Operation and Maintenance Division.
- Mr. Tshering, who has been serving as the Officiating Chief for the Data Science and AI Division, has been appointed as the Chief Program Officer.
Broadbanded Promotions:
- Ms. Sonam Lhazom, PA to Director, Department of Digital Transformation, has been promoted to Sr. Personal Asst. III.
- Mr. Kelzang Thinley, has been promoted to the position of a Dy. Chief ICT Officer.
These promotions are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the individuals demonstrated through professionalism. GovTech extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the officials on their well deserved promotion and looks forward to their continued contributions toward advancing digital governance in Bhutan.
