Signing of the Implementing Arrangement (IA) between DITT & ISRO Concerning Cooperation on the Development of a Joint Small Satellite

A virtual signing ceremony was held today at the conference hall of the Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) to sign the Implementing Arrangement (IA) to jointly develop a small satellite for Bhutan. The IA was signed by Mr. Jigme Tenzing, Director, Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT), Royal Government of Bhutan and Shri R. Umamaheshwaran, Scientific Secretary, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2021

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) joins the rest of the world in celebrating “World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD)” 2021.This year the theme of the celebration is “Accelerating Digital Transformation in challenging times”. On 17th May every year, the WTISD is celebrated with a purpose to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.

DrukREN Technical workshop

The Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT) in collaboration with Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) is hosting DrukREN Technical workshop on "Campus Network Routing and Switching”, “Network Monitoring and Management” and “Linux Security & Malware Forensics” to address the capacity development needs of the research & education community in the country.

ICS Tender pre-bit meeting

As per the tender documents floated in the eGP system for Integrated citizen services covering 3 packages, namely.

PACKAGE - I : Permits Services Labour Immigration Tourist (VISA)
PACKAGE - II : Vehicle Services Vehicle Services
PACKAGE - III : GIS & Pension Services GIS service, Pension service,
PACKAGE - IV : Student Information Services Student Information services

The earlier deadline for submission of bids, which is on 11th March 2021 is extended by 10 days, which will be 21st March 2021, and the bid opening date and time will remain the same.
