The Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for 2017-2018 was signed today afternoon between the Hon’ble Minister D.N Dungyel and the Hon’ble Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay. Subsequently Hon’ble Secretary signed the APA with the Department heads.
The signing event was attended by the staffs of MOIC. The Prime Minister thanked the staffs of the Ministry for their hard work and also for supporting the government performance management system.

Department of IT & Telecom in collaboration with Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will be conducting training on “Mobile for Socio-Economic Development” from 4 to 6 December 2017, at Thimphu Bhutan as the part of capacity development initiative. The department of IT and Telecom conducted a Workshop to review the first draft of the Government Web Standards, on 21st July at MoIC, where ICT heads and webmasters from various agencies in Thimphu participated in the event. The web standards is currently being developed by iTechnologies in collaboration and consultation with DITT and the rest of the ICT officials in the government agencies.
The DITT/MoIC family would like to congratulate Mr. Jigme Thinlye Namgyal for his promotion to Director General.
Formal Khadar ceremony was held on 11th July, 2017 at Department of IT and Telecom. Hon'ble Lyonpo D N Dhungyel graced the occasion.
Gelephu police received information from police in the neighbouring district of Assam, India, that a Bhutanese SIM card was being used to make ransom calls in a kidnapping case across the border.
Although both the abductor and abductee was Indian national, the ransom calls were made from a Bhutanese SIM card from the Indo-Bhutan border near Sarpang.
Gelephu police officials said they found that the SIM card belongs to a monk in Trongsa, who claimed that he lost the SIM card three years ago.
